 Soooo…after a lovely supper with four of my favorite people, I’m enjoying my huge room here. Two bedrooms and three beds…it’s actually kinda freaky. Tomorrow and Tuesday I have orientation, and Tuesday afternoon I’ll be off to New Zealand!

Besides the usual sweaters and pants, I’m also bringing some lovely hats knitted by Kathy Flanagan, the Doctor Who scarf (Tom Baker forever!!) and my dear hand-knitted Robert Plant.

This is James, Laura’s bratty little brother. I set up this blog so Laura could keep us all up to date on her amazing adventures in Antarctica. If she doesn’t write anything here, I vow to use this blog to publicly embarrass her. Hopefully, that will not be necessary.

It’s 9/30/2007 and Laura is supposed to leave on the second I believe. The whole family is getting together tonight to have a tasty dinner. I think I speak for my whole family when I say I am proud of my big sister!
