Hi Laura:
We read your blog every day Have sent your site to Uncle Jim and to the folks in the CZ.
It is great! We get a real feel for your "home' and what your doing, in addition, your Mom keeps us up to date on your phone calls. All is well here. Tricia's sister's wedding was Saturday and very beautiful.
            We love you,
             G&G

Mm, okay - if you're as far away from the active volcano as you can actually get and still be on the island, that helps. ;) Let's see, Strombolian ain't so bad ... just hope it stays in that mode. Phonolite ... dammit, that's on the foid side of the QAPF diagram ... quartz undersaturated lavas make my head hurt. All the vague generalities we give intro students about magmas go to hell when you break out the foids. Still, dug up (!) your lava lake on Wikipedia ... from space!

Run, Frodo, run!
Ah, well. Sounds like you've plenty to keep you busy! We expect blackmail posts from the vIce girl somewhere down the line ... ;)
