I (Jason) have a bit of a sore throat today so I just sat down to the computer with a nice hot cup of Black Chai Tea. Just doing my work at school and need to get a few more requirements out of the way before I can just focus on how things will go for me as I progress towards student teaching. Lisa and I were out and about today and found a couple more pieces of art to hang on the walls. One of these days I might even get back to unpacking instead of homework! :) Anyhow, glad to hear that things are going swimmingly even with a cold. We're enjoying the pictures! Only time I've ever gotten the kitties to be excited about 'outside' was when they'd been in the car for five days driving cross-country. They were totally psyched to check out bushes, shrubs, and the nearby woods then ... I had to put them back in boxes to avoid popping their leashes. (Even then, Mz. Cari managed to unzip her carrying case and pop out again into the night - but happily, she came right back when called.) Mmm, McMurdo crud. You've got my sympathy - I've got the Denver crud after GSA. Ugh. Fantastic pics once again. Curious to hear more about the 'herbies' - that's not a variety of storm I've ever heard of before! -78F is pretty outlandish, though. Good weather for staying indoors and nursing a cold! Although kind of scarry thinking about how isolated you are. Sorry about the crud but it seems we all get sick when we relocate. Just part of the adventure. Sita is having a great time. Sits in the sun on the porch during the warm days and then where ever the hell she wants the rest of the time. Put her on the leash a couple of days ago to go for a walk. The dogs were really exited to have her along. She made it to the end of the driveway - mostly in dragging mode. So we went back in. She was really excited to get back in! We are expecting a very cold winter based on the ever thickening fur coat Sita is growing. Not shedding much now, but when she starts, its going to be a Herbie of a hair storm at the Omdahls.
