There was some wintertime gay love involved in that apparently. The whack-er then brought the hammer back to housing, and the person at the desk didn't even notice the blood on it. They locked the dude in Hut 10 (I think) and folks on station had to guard him - my former co-worker Kelly was on that detail. There's no official police force, but it's part of the Firehouse's duties to deal with that kind of thing. And once they opened the ceiling tiles of the Coffee House, the damage was much worse than they anticipated, so they did shut it down, and they'll work on it through vessel time, will hopefully have it fixed before I leave on the 23rd. Or 21st, not sure yet. The incident where the guy went wacko was during winfly one year - he checked out a hammer from housing and whacked another guy with it. Oh! Rats. My favorite link there (an interview with 'Modern Drunkard' magazine) is down. Should rename the blog "Big Dead Link Place" ... Anyways, as I recall, when the one guy went postal with a wrench, he was locked in an office or something until they could set him on the first plane north. Think it said they did the whole judiciary-and-imprisonment thing in Guam. Terrible news about the Coffee House! So what's the story, do they have to shut it down for the winter and set up a replacement building next spring? *Fingers crossed against the CRUD* -- Dave I think Big Dead Place (check the blogroll –> ) has a few links covering postal issues. You are in the mid 30s while our high in Denver is going to be 25 today. Its 1 right now. Stock show weather. Sita is doing great and doesn't seem to mind when the dogs stage a mass 3 prong attack. She just holds her ground and they know not to touch. They sure make a lot of noise though. Bye the bye - Do you have a police force? What happens when some one goes postal? Do you have a jail? Who gets to have the firearms and tazers? Don't you need personal protection from maurading penguins? Just curious about the justice system.
